RETURNING TO FUN: There's Joy to Be Found

"We’re so used to seeing patrons, volunteers and students with smiles on their faces, happy and enjoying shows. Unfortunately that was taken from us through the pandemic. That’s why we’re excited for our patrons to return to in-person performances, once again filling the Great Hall with positive energy and applause.

Luckily, there was joy to be found during the pandemic. We worked as a team to bring new experiences and events to the community; online storytelling, Local Legends live streams, Block Parties, drive-in movies and virtual lifelong university classes. Each of these endeavors was more successful than we could have ever imagined, so much so that we will continue to offer them beyond the pandemic.

Reopening is a way for us to reconnect with not only our patrons, but also our students. We will finally be able to continue to provide the best academic experience for them during their time on campus. They are the lifeblood of our organization on so many levels. We work side-by-side with them to make certain all aspects of GBPAC run smoothly. It will be great to have them back in the office, back stage and on the front line welcoming patrons."
