This 13-piece Latin Grammy-nominated group has a style that draws on both the traditional and the modern. Plena Libre has taken this rhythmic genre of Puerto Rican origin through new and exciting developments and injected it with sizzling contemporary dance floor arrangements.

This program is presented as part of the ArtesAméricas (www.artesamericas.org), developed by the University of Texas at Austin in partnership with the Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies and UT's Latin American Initiative.

Ever wanted to learn how to salsa dance? Now is your chance to show off! Salsa dance lessons will be provided in the lobby. After the lessons, test your skills in the great hall as the dance floor is open.
