George Winston

George Winston blends jazz, rhythm and blues, folk, stride and classical music to create a sound unlike any other. Winston prefers to think of his style as “folk piano” and is known for his enthusiasm for the compositions of jazz pianist Vince Guaraldi, the artist who wrote and performed the soundtracks to the Peanuts animated cartoons.

 

With his unique mix of original compositions, traditional folk melodies and contemporary and classic pop songs, George Winston has become one of the best known and most loved pianists of our time.
