Momix

People who aren’t people, sculptures that come alive, groups that combine into strange and magical creatures.

Leaping lizards, stately saguaro cactus, tumbling tumbleweeds and all manner of desert flora and fauna fill the Momix fantasy world of Opus Cactus, a suite that blooms to eclectic music ranging from Bach and Brian Eno to Chief Spotted Eagle and Australian aboriginal selections.

The theatrical magic that this company of dancer/gymnast/athlete artists achieves brims with “patented Momix moments - when your eyes forget to blink and your breath forgets to come out.”
