Madame Butterfly

Puccini's classic, world-renowned opera, set in Japan, on the eve of the 20th century. With arias that make strong men weep, this opera tells the story of a young geisha who marries a dashing American naval officer. What begins as forbidden love becomes a profound spiritual bond for Butterfly - who forsakes her culture, religion and identity, for his love.

Madame Butterfly is a tale of exotic beauty and heartbreaking romance where Eastern and Western cultures collide.
