die fledermausJohann Strauss' witty, melodious and charmingly frivolous comedy revolves around practical jokes, faked identities, long-deliberated revenge and the power of champagne. The singing is idiomatic, the spirit infectiously jovial, the acting polished and witty. It's an evening of fun for the most schooled opera lover, as well as those new to the art form. Renowned for it's sparkling music and the composer's signature waltzes that slowly accelerate to the heart-palpitating speeds, curtaintalkthis operetta includes such famously frothy and recognizable tunes as "The Champagne Waltz," "Adele's Laughing Aria, " and "The Czardas."
