We are very excited to be hosting the fifth annual “Beers to You and Gourmet, Too”, an event that raises funds for the Friends of the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center. Proceeds from this event will support the Buck A Kid program, Kaleidoscope, programming and other various needs for the Center. So, mark your calendar for Sunday, February 26, 2012! This year’s even promises to be better than ever with outstanding food samples from the finest restaurants in the Cedar Valley AND some great beer from local, national and home brewers!

Public Beer and Food Tasting: 4-7 p.m.
Awards Announcement: 6 p.m.
We are thrilled to welcome guest speaker Bob Cannon to this year’s event as guest speaker and homebrew contest judge. You may recognize him as the “face of Sam Adams.” Last year we opened a VIP Area to the event, where attendees who purchased the upgraded ticket were allowed entry to taste high proof beers and specialty beverages. This year the homebrew contest will be the VIP area. Attendees of past events continuously tell us how much they enjoy the home brewers. What would be a better way to highlight talented home brewers than featuring them as the VIP section? We need your help to make it successful!
The home brewers contest will consist of two categories.
1. Style competition, judged by Bob Cannon. This will be a contest based solely on your entry’s qualities to the style of beer entered.
2. People’s choice, judged by popular vote.

P.S. Please note that while this is a free competition, we are limited by the amount of space in our VIP area. We will do our best to accommodate every homebrew entry, but may need to cap the number of entries. Also, this is a non-sanctioned contest – just for fun! We will have some excellent prizes and by entering, you’ll receive free entry into the event ($45 value).
One beer per entry, please. Brewer may submit multiple entries, but must have a separate entry form for each beer.
